Zawe are a Birmingham Based six piece band; their music rooted in folk with an infusion of soul. Taking influence from the likes of Otis Redding, Joan Amatarding, Rachel Sermanni and Nathaniel Rateliff, their songs are lyrically driven stories of experiences, letters to loved ones and questions to whoever is listening.

The band formed shortly after the release of Philippa Zawe’s first EP, Road of Hope; a tale of loss, grief and hope found along the way, in September 2017. The band provide a fuller sound to lead vocalist and guitarist Philippa Zawe music and are set to release their much anticipated first EP together in Spring 2018.
