Runrummer is the alias of 25-year-old Livi Morris; a songwriter and producer who grew up around Birmingham and is now based in East London. She’s been praised for creating “effortlessly laid-back melody and lyrics tinged with a swagger found on Lily Allen records” (Gigslutz).

A strong advocate for the LGBT community, many of her lyrics confront struggles with sexuality, gender identity and mental health, while her musical influences come from a combination of classic 80s bands alongside contemporary artists like Billie Eilish and Flume. After releasing her debut EP ‘Soul Wrinkles’ towards the end of 2018, Runrummer has received significant support from BBC Introducing including regular airplay and a slot on the BBC stage at Worcester Music Festival. Speaking after the show, Andrew Marston (BBC Introducing Hereford & Worcester) said that Runrummer is one of the “most cutting edge” artists he’s discovered in what’s gearing up to be his “session of the year”. She has now been officially tipped by BBC Introducing as “one to watch” in 2020, and she’s been nominated to play at Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

Her latest single ‘I Like Getting High (But Not All The Time)’ was released on 12th March. “A potent and all-too-relatable
single” (Clash) it addresses the struggles of being an independent artist in the modern world; with all the highs and lows of a growing music career, holding down a steady job and trying to maintain relationships with family and friends. Recorded at the Rattle Collective and mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, girl in red) it also features a stunning music video directed by Nic Kane (Elder Island, Club Kuru) with help from students at the University of Greenwich in London.
