Riscas are a four-piece indie-pop band based in Birmingham. Recently named BBC Radio 1’s Introducing ‘Artist of the Week’, the band charted fourth on Spotify’s most viral UK tracks – an impressive start considering they only formed just over a year ago.

Channeling spritely indie-rock sentimentality with a tropical edge, the result is a seamless concoction of influences including the wriggling rhythms of Vampire Weekend and Two Door Cinema Club mixed with the euphoric, festival ready choruses of The 1975.

Amassing over 1,000,000 plays and hitting a record 87,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and with no sign of stopping, Riscas are certainly ones to watch for 2018!

Last year saw the band appear at The Great Escape Festival, hand picked by Steve Lamacq to play on the BBC Introducing Stage, as well as shows supporting the likes of Fickle Friends, Superfood, TENDER, Toothless and Trudy the Romance.
