GUYANA+ EDGAR DUKE

Guyana are a four-piece indie rock band originating from Birmingham, who encapsulate schoolboy-lyricism developed into post-punk revival.

The group melds upfront tales of concern, camaraderie and companionship with catchy lead guitars, energetic drum beats and discursive verses; leading them to recently be described as the bastard lovechild of Jamie T and John Frusciante.

Having reformed in 2018, the band have rapidly engaged with the Birmingham music scene, leading to the release of their 2019 single, “Run”. The indie-rock outfit flow tightly with sharp street-style lyrics, catchy bass-lines and ear-worm guitar solos.

Egdar Duke are a Leeds-based alternative rock band with a sound that resembles Palma Violets, Dead Pretties, The Vaccines, Tame Impala and The Cribs.

After 2 years of tearing up the Leeds scene, playing venues such as Brudenell Social Club and Belgrave Music Hall, Edgar Duke is taking over other cities to share their energetic performances with new fans.

Alongside heavy guitar solos and rhythmic drums, Edgar Duke has ‘quality song-writing and a nice Beatles vibe’ as described by Fred Perry Subculture.
