FLING+ M A R C

Psych-pop glam-rockers FLING release debut album ‘FLING OR DIE’’ on Dance to the Radio on 22nd February 2019. The release comes off the back of a year of sold-out hometown shows, appearances at Live at Leeds, Swn Festival, Neighbourhood Festival and a bunch of singles supported by the likes of Steve Lamacq (6Music), Huw Stephens (Radio 1), Gideon Coe (6music), Tom Robinson (6music) Radio X, Beats 1 and a host of Spotify official playlists.

Having met at a gig and instantly bonded over T.Rex and David Bowie FLING moved out of their basement studio to work with Lee Smith at Greenmount Studios (The Cribs / Pulled Apart By Horses), recently completing the forthcoming album and receiving support for early singles from Wonderland Magazine (‘Alt-pop perfection’) and Clash Music (‘An irresistible pop package’), as well as building an online fanbase they call ‘Flingers’.

Describing themselves as ‘Wonky Pop’ the 5 piece from Bradford comprise of Charles McSorley (Vocals), Jack Winn (Guitar), Billy Fielding (Drums), Jake Lees (Bass) and Sam Malynowsky (Keyboards).

‘An Irresistible Pop Package’ – Clash Music

Best described as a four piece no nonsense rock & rollers with moves like Jagger, M A R C wows the crowd with anthemic guitar solos and catchy hooks. Appealing to music and footie fans alike, expect dance and chants, with added tambourine, through their live performances. The buttoned down, long haired sex gods of the 70s depicts a time of reckless, raunchy and rebellious ruckus emulated by the band.

2018 have seen the band catching fire to the Birmingham music scene and supporting aspiring bands such as La Dharma, Plastic Scene and Bloodhound. Spreading the heat in the Midlands, M A R C have also performed a number of shows in Leicester, Coventry and Wolverhampton.
The momentum keeps on building for the 5 piece as they set out to hit the studio and lay down their music onto stereo and release their debut album in late September 2019. However, don’t expect silence from these noisy bunch, there’s still shows not to be missed in the new year including a gig supporting Fling in February.
