Not many young artists can count up a massive 20 million+ Spotify streams off the back of the first song they’ve ever written, but then again, not many young artists are Fenne Lily. Raised in the wilds of rural Dorset, the 20-year-old talent first picked up the guitar aged fifteen and quickly found she was a natural.

Just one year later and she’d written the delicate but powerful ‘Top To Toe’, which deftly tackled social anxiety over softly picked guitar; a song about bleak adolescence that almost everyone could relate to. Self-released, it saw the young unknown attract global attention for her sublime songwriting ability and sharp emotional intelligence, as well as her gifted way with melody. British fashion house Burberry came knocking on her door and asked her to perform for them in Paris, thanks to the song’s subtle channelling of Laura Marling, as well as the swooning sound of Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten and underground 1960s psychedelic greats like Linda Perhacs.

Fenne’s sound was elegant, addictive and blowing up the hype machine. Now, though, she’s gearing up to release her debut album and proving she’s much more than your typical acoustic songwriter.

Plus support from MATT MILLARD

Matt Millard is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Birmingham UK. Drawing influence from the likes of Folk artists Justin Vernon and Ben Howard, as well as post punk bands Joy Division and Interpol, his music sits somewhere between the two genres, combining intricate acoustic guitar melodies with a warm yet haunting melancholy vocal.

First appearing as a solo outfit in late 2016 with early demos ‘Berlin’ and ‘Palace’, he soon became a fond favourite of BBC WM’s Introducing show, with the songs getting regular features, as well as being invited to perform a live acoustic session on air.

Autumn 2017 saw Matt Millard up his game, with his first official single release ‘Salt’. The track showed great promise, with a more fine tuned and atmospheric production, described by BBC Introducing as “Absolutely Gorgeous” .

With a growing loyal following in his home city of Birmingham, after a string of successful support slots with the likes of Allman Brown and Charlie Straw, Matt now moves towards his first EP release ‘ Take Me Anywhere – EP’ . The title track ‘Take Me Anywhere’ will be released on 23rd February 2018, followed by the complete EP on March 2nd.
