Eyedress is 26 year old Idris Vicuña from Manila, the Philippines. He presents his debut album proper – Manila Ice – out 12th May via Lex Records.

Manila Ice showcases his unique talent for lovesick composition and songwriting, and his DIY spirit. The album was recorded around the birth of his first child and represents the hopes and fears of a young parent as well as providing him an escape from the realities of his personal life and the dramatic political events unfolding in his home city. He recorded and produced the entire album from his bedroom studio at his parents house – playing lead and rhythm guitar, bass, synths, samplers, drums alongside singing and rapping.

Eyedress has been supported by Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Huw Stevens, Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Tom Ravenscroft, Sinden, Steve Aoki, Ghostpoet, Zed’s Dead & Crookers.

He has previously collaborated with King Krule and supported Mac Demarco, Jungle, Grimes and How To Dress Well. His music is informed by the diverse influences of his early life in Phoenix, Arizona and San Clemente, California followed by his family’s return to The Philippines aged 15. Taking to sampling and beat making as much as traditional musicianship, his thirst for expression has seen him turn his unique voice to rap, punk, synth pop and lo-fi indie styles. On Manila Ice he strips his experimentation back to a more traditional songwriting, and brings a striking honesty to the narratives which weave through the record.

Social State (Brad and Andy) are 2 teenagers from Birmingham with the goal to be the future of the music scene. Their songs are a mix of various genres including indie, hip hop, pop, breaks and r&b, and is heavily inspired by growing up in Birmingham, not doing too great in education and the antics of teenage youth today.

Following on from their first release ‘Backtrack’ produced by Rat Boy, they recently revealed their debut single ‘Given Up’. Social State are a unique duo and are ready to bring some fresh air into the music scene!

Falling Ghost is the solo project of Manchester based multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Sweeney; formerly singer-songwriter with the band Sylvia. With Sylvia, Daniel recorded two albums, toured both the UK and Europe and achieved national radio play (BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music). Their music was described as “daring and original” by Ivor Novello winning producer Jon Cotton and as “absolutely amazing” by Janice Long of BBC Radio 2.

Since leaving Sylvia Daniel spent all of 2016 writing, recording and producing his first solo album. The album Pure O is set to be released later this year on Regent Street Records. It inhabits a sound world similar to The XX, London Grammar, James Blake, Burial and Radiohead, mixing electronic drums with atmospheric textures, mesmeric production and heart rending melodies. It was mastered by John Davies (The XX, Lana Del Rey, Gorillaz).
Falling Ghost is due to begin touring Pure O over the summer to coincide with the release of his first single.
