Hailing from Birmingham, FLARES are an up and coming band with a sound described as chirpy indie rock with influences of pop and grunge. After playing their first gig in a dodgy garage, the band have worked their way into finer establishments across England such as The Camden Assembly, O2 Academy 2 / Institute 2 and The Hare and Hounds. This year FLARES have been busy playing packed tents at festivals such as Y Not Festival and Camper Calling, selling out headliners and supporting the likes of Fickle Friends, The Magic Gang and Barns Courtney.

Since releasing their debut single, ‘Tunnel Vision // Castle of Cards’ on Jan 3rd 2019. FLARES have followed up with another three singles, ‘Keep It’, ‘Lightning’ and ‘Stuck’. All tracks were received well (around 50k streams on Spotify, and topping 2k monthly listeners). They have had lots of radio airtime, and interviews, including being featured on BBC Introducing.

The band deliver an energetic performance by combining indie melodies, catchy choruses and strong vocal harmonies with intricate guitar riffs and powerhouse drumming.

“Don’t let their youthfulness deceive you. These young indie rockers know their way around a harmony and a chord progression.” – Indie Midlands

Piercing through the Birmingham music scene come 11 57 (Eleven Fifty-Seven), a young heavy rock band with elements of punk and modern psychedelia. The group are influenced by bands such as Tame Impala, Idles, The Strokes and Queens of the Stone Age. They’ve found an explosive sound and attitude which delivers a refreshing punch in the face alongside the usual indie scene that has dominated Birmingham for the last few years.

Forming in spring 2019 the band was initially a 2 piece, with frontman Joey on guitar and drummer Bailey, but the band wouldn’t be complete without bassist and co-frontman, Mitch. The band achieves its raw energy by merging growling bass riffs and creative technical drumming with Joey’s dynamic guitar playing, showcasing a perfect mix of both menacing and soft tones.

11 57 has always been about the loud and exciting experience, something that will be heard through their highly anticipated debut single “Would I Lose”. To be released on the 20th of November 2019. The band recorded the piece mostly on a whim, with structure and music completed only a few days before recording. The band worked on lyrics and filled in musical/production gaps on the day to really capture their raw sound.

Their fresh up and coming debut single is simply unmissable and will be available on all streaming platforms.
