Black Asteroids (often referred to as BLAST) are a two-piece bass & drums instrumental/space rock band from Birmingham.

Last year the band released two EPS – their fifteen-minute tour-de-force, Saturn, which was released digitally in February 2017, and BlackAsteroids II,  released in September 2017.

The band will be one of the few headliners to play at The Flapper before the venue’s closure at the end of June 2018

Solars is a four-piece post-rock band from Birmingham. 2017 saw the band releasing their three-track EP, ‘A Million Invisible People’, as well as the experimental and progressive single, ‘Lady Noir’.

The musicians have performed at The Flapper under many names over the years and claim the venue to be one of their favourites.

“It would mean the world to us to grace it’s stage one last time.”

Man Punches Cloud is a four- piece instrumental band from the Birmingham area falling under the umbrella of Post-rock, Post-metal and Shoegaze. Only formed in February of this year, they have played a handful of successful shows and have recorded a four-track E.P. The band’s debut release, ‘The Henderson EP’, was released on 21st May 2018.
