Humanist have released Iyeara Remix of ‘Shock Collar’ feat. Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan!

HUMANIST will play on Tuesday2nd February 2021 at The Sunflower Lounge Birmingham. Tickets are on sale here.

Humanist release a brand new IYEARA remix of recent single ‘Shock Collar’ featuring iconic Depeche Mode singer Dave Gahan. IYEARA, who comprise guitarist Toby Butler of The Duke Spirit, producer Malcolm Carson and vocalist Paul O’Keeffe, are renowned for their unique reincarnations incorporating analogue electronica, dark wave and post-punk. The group have remixed The Prodigy, UNKLE, Mark Lanegan, Band Of Skulls and Laura Marling’s LUMP project amongst others, and were shortlisted for last year’s MPG Awards Remixer of the Year category.

Humanist’s Rob Marshall says, “Really pleased to able share this exciting remix of ‘Shock Collar’ by the brilliant IYEARA. It has a really authentic electronic sound which I think fans of Depeche Mode will really love. It creates such a different, but still perfect backdrop for Dave Gahan’s powerhouse vocal. Enjoy! x.”

Humanist is the expansive and ambitious project written, played and produced by Rob Marshall (guitarist of Exit Calm and co-writer of Mark Lanegan’s celebrated ‘Gargoyle’ and ‘Somebody’s Knocking’ albums). The album, a swirling Niagara of fuzzed-out industrial melody and noise, has attracted an all-star cast of collaborators including Mark Lanegan (Queens Of The Stone Age), Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), Mark Gardener (Ride), Carl Hancock Rux (David Holmes, Portishead), John Robb (The Membranes), Joel Cadbury (UNKLE), Ilse Maria, Ron Sexsmith and Jim Jones (The Jim Jones Revue, Thee Hypnotics).
