Alex Ohm releases new single ‘Hours’

Alex Ohm releases new single ‘Hours’ to raise money for mental health charity.

Midlands musician, Alex Ohm has announced that he will be releasing his next single ‘Hours’ to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind.

Speaking on why he chose the charity, Ohm stated, ‘These are strenuous times and a lot of services need all the help that they can get. The Corona pandemic is having a huge impact on people’s mental health and Mind is a charity that provides a wide range of support for children and adults struggling with these issues. It’s important to remember that not everybody is lucky enough to have support from family or a good circle of friends to talk to. It is essential to help these services any way we can and I hope that what I am doing will provide people with the support that they need.’

The single, taken from his upcoming EP, will be available to download on Friday 29nd May. Alex will also be performing a Facebook live-streamed gig on the day of release to raise further funds for the cause. Recorded between Pirate studios (London) and RML Studios (Wolverhampton), Ohm went on to say, ‘The track was an obvious choice for myself and the band. It’s a song that, I believe, people can relate to and take something from.’

Alex made a remarkable start to the year with sell-out shows at The Sunflower Lounge and Wolverhampton’s, three hundred capacity, Newhampton Arts Centre for BBC Introducing. He was due to tour and release his EP in May which has now been rescheduled to September due to the Pandemic.
