The Queens of Art Tour is making history – Check out why

“Look, we’re making history – this has never been done before.” – Shay D

Breaking stigma and boundaries – Shay D, DJ Ellie Prohan and Trumendous sets out on the first ever all female line-up tour, The Queens of Art around the UK.

The Queens of Art Tour will take place at The Castle & Falcon, Birmingham on Friday 12th April 2019. Tickets are available here.

It is not unusual to say that the hip-hop, grime and rap world are typically dominated by male creators, producers and performers. Women are traditionally known to be featured as collaborators, singing in choruses and dancing in music videos but Shay D and friends are about to change the game.

“If this wasn’t happening, a promoter would not be booking six women on a line-up!”

The artists will be inspiring the future of UK’s hip-hop live music scene from Leicester to Brighton with eight dates in April, celebrating the release of her new album Human Writes. The tour presents Shay D’s new music, alongside an all female program of high quality, handpicked female artists smashing it in their artforms at present.

“What Shay has created is more than an event – this is a movement, so we want to feel you behind this movement.”

The BBC released a video documentary about the tour, putting a spotlight on the entrepreneurs and how they have curated the events, with exclusive ‘behind-the-scene’ footages. You can watch the full video here.

You will be able to come & experience female rappers & DJ’s both local & London guests smash it on stage! This is for everyone with a real focus on supporting women in Hip Hop & Grime, so come & get your tickets & let’s make history together!
