Lotte Mullan to play Birmingham Glee Club

Lotte Mullan is touring her unique brand of storytelling contemporary folk with her second album, the follow up to this year’s stunning debut ‘Plain Jane’, including a stop at Birmingham’s own Glee Club!

This follows a whirlwind year which saw her signing a film deal with Elton John’s Rocket Pictures based on a blog she was writing about her adventures in the music business. Lotte has since turned down a major record deal in favour of going it alone with her own self-funded label Raindog Records. Her music has also been used on the latest LOVEFILM advert and she’s been live in session with BBC Radio 4′s Jenni Murray on Woman’s hour as well as touring with Scott Matthews, Newton Faulker and Albert Hammond.

Her second album comes from a yearning for the British countryside . Lotte grew up in rural Suffolk but moved to London in her teens to ‘live the dream’ and after eight years found herself torn between two different communities and ways of life; she found herself exploring a return to her roots whilst listening to the likes of Nick Drake and Bob Dylan. This is Lotte’s first solo tour and promises to be an intimate evening of stories and song with this engaging and talented young musician.
