The Xcerts announce Birmingham show

July 11, 2017 in News

Following their huge set at 2000trees Festival The Xcerts announce a full UK headline tour for Sept/Oct.

The Brighton based 3 piece had announced their long awaited return last week, with their brand new single ‘Feels Like Falling In Love’. The track received its debut on the Radio 1 Rock Show as The Rockest Record and is out now through Raygun Records. In a week it has now been placed on the Spotify Viral Chart at number 3 of 50, and has now been played over 240,000 times in 7 days.

‘Feels Like Falling In Love’ is an instant classic, fusing the heady euphoria production and stadium pomp of 80′s Springsteen and Tom Petty with the dry, sharp wit of Cheap Trick. A euphoric, exuberant anthem about falling in love written by a romantic realist, soundtracked like the hugest of 80′s movie anthems ever.

The single is their first new music since the much loved and critically lauded There Is Only You album was released in 2014, and follows on from 3 years touring and playing shows with the likes of Biffy ClyroNothing But ThievesBrand New, Deaf HavanaThe AmazonsYou Me At SixManchester Orchestra and more.

The Xcerts to play The Rainbow Birmingham

February 4, 2015 in News

Following on from the overwhelming response to their new album There Is Only You, which was released in November 2014, Aberdeen/Exeter trio The Xcerts have announced both a UK headline tour and a new single. The band head off on tour across the UK through April and the brilliant album cut ‘I Dont Care’ will be released as a single on April 20th, with a brilliant and brand new/unreleased b-side ‘Wish’. Frontman Murray McLeod:

“We’re delighted to announce our first headline tour of 2015. We are planning on playing the majority of ‘There Is Only You’ if not the whole thing which we haven’t done before so we are really looking forward to these shows. The reaction to the record has been incredible and in conjunction with the tour, we are releasing ‘I Don’t Care’ as a single which already seems to be a favourite for a lot of folks. See you all in April.”

There Is Only You was released on 3rd November through Raygun Music. The latest album is the follow up to 2010’s much-acclaimed Scatterbrain, and was produced by both Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild) and long-term band friend Paul Steel.
