WATCH: Paper Buoys – ‘Sharp As Razors’

August 4, 2016 in News

In a particularly exciting time for West Midlands’ music, it’s rather hard to make yourself stand out. Step forward: Paper Buoys.

Having already been championed by BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, Paper Buoys have played shows with the likes of Beach Baby and Big Deal in their relatively short career so far – and there are no plans to slow down any time soon.

Their latest offering, ‘Sharp As Razors’ is a politically-fuelled, anger-driven track and is quite fittingly their heaviest track yet. The animated video, directed by Prodigy video director Oliver Jones (Better Feeling Films) portrays the recent hate shown towards the government and mainstream propaganda on social media.

As a result, the video features animations of David Cameron and Boris Johnson flying on pigs, Nigel Farage depicted as a liar, Rupert Murdoch’s animated newspaper “The Scum” and even George Osborne holding a bleeding red budget box. It’s well worth a watch.

Buckle up, as these Paper Buoys show no signs of sinking just yet.
