As Elephants Are reveal new track ‘Hand Prints’

February 16, 2014 in News

On 31st March, As Elephants Are will follow last October’s release of the ‘Crystal’ single (BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe ‘Next Hype’), with the brand new 4-track Hand Prints EP and their first fully fledged UK tour the same month. The 11-date tour will call at Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds on Fri 14th March.

With past releases being described as everything from “sinister” (This Is Fake DIY), to “life affirming” and “magical” (The 405) to “wonderfully dreamy” (Time Out London), EP title track ‘Hand Prints’ develops further the band’s ability to write nagging melodies wrapped in barbed wire rhythms.

On the live front, 2013 saw As Elephants Are play their debut slot at Reading and Leeds Festival on the BBC Introducing stage as well as appearing at Bushstock and Southsea Festival and supporting Half Moon Run. A summer of festival appearances beckons in 2014.

“A sharp mix of jangly guitars, kinetic rhythms and an overwhelmingly catchy chorus hook, all tied up in a shimmery atmosphere of dream-pop romanticism.” – 10/10, blahblahblahscience.com

AS ELEPHANTS ARE PLAY HARE & HOUNDS BIRMINGHAM ON FRI 14TH MARCH 2014, WITH SUPPORT FROM LIME & NEW BAYS. TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE.
