On their latest full-length album, Bulls and Roosters, Together Pangea managed to hit a sweet spot between writing rock ‘n’ roll songs worthy of being hummed twenty years from now and maintaining the brash and ballsy bite fans know and love. The Los Angeles quartet—William Keegan [guitar, vocals], Danny Bengston [bass, vocals], Erik Jimenez [drums], and Roland Cosio [guitar]—essentially get louder by dialing the volume down.

Since they began jamming back in William’s Santa Clarita bedroom, Together Pangea have continually challenged themselves with each subsequent offering.

Jelly Jam [2010] poured the gasoline, Living Dummy [2011] struck the match, and Badillac [2014] lit the fire with its revved up nineties rock-inspired flames. Along the way the group received support from Consequence of Sound, Pitchfork, MTV, Stereogum, and more.

Inspired by a John Baldessari painting named “Tips for Artists Who Want To Sell” Bulls and Roosters represents Together Pangea at their boldest, brightest, and best to date.

Plus support from THEE MVPS

Already clocking 60+ gigs this year, Thee MVPs spent a whole month in the van touring coast to coast across America, including stopping off for 16 shows at SXSW with the likes of SURVIVE, TELEVISION, Dead Meadow and Night Beats then taking a plane to another van to tour the UK with Pulled Apart By Horses and TIGERCUB. Thee MVPs refuse to take the foot off the pedal and will be supporting Together Pangea for the UK leg of their tour in the lead up to an excellent EP release on Burger Records and a new 45 on Too Pure!

Thee MVPs fill the whole place with a pounding rhythm section, punch to the gut guitars and gusto-filled choruses that barely get contained by the venues they play in. As quick to play on the psych scene as well a punk rock show, the band hammer out some form of rock and roll that’s caked in krautrock rust, protopunk grease and ’77 powerpop spit. FFO – TRAAMS, King Gizz, Thee Oh Sees, The Damned, MC5 etc.
