THE YOUNG+ SOFTER STILL + BEDELIA + ELLIOT STURMAN

Energetic alternative/indie four piece from Tamworth. Friends since the age of five, all four members of The Young have grown up together, sharing that special bond that is very rare amongst bands.

Since those early days The Young went from strength to strength, with many successful live shows and the release of the single ‘Shadows’ and the EP Black & White. With strong musicianship, infectious melodies and energetic stage presence The Young always deliver the goods, leaving the crowd begging for more.

Plus support from SOFTER STILL

Softer Still are an indie dream-pop band from Shepperton, Surrey consisting of wide-eyed sonic explorers Grant Williams (lead vocals/guitar), Ellie O’Shea (backing vocals/bass), Alexander Williams (guitar) and Ollie Kitson (drums).

‘Forever Faces’, is the second single to come from the blissed-out quartet’s second EP Visions Of You. The track sees the band add electronic elements to their dream pop sound, building upon their self-titled EP which was released in November 2016, a record that attracted attention from the NME, Clash, BBC Introducing and Steve Lamacq, as well as catching the ear of American shoegazers DIIV, who invited Softer Still to support them at London’s Electric Ballroom in September.

“Stunning new single…Anchored by a twisting guitar riff, it’s a delightfully breezy and laid-back sunbathing anthem with an undeniably catchy melody” – NME

Plus support from ELLIOT STURMAN

Elliot Sturman is a local singer/songwriter, whose sound draws its influence from his eclectic love of classic rock, country and indie folk. He has been performing from a young age, and honed his song-writing skills while studying at Birmingham Ormiston Academy, Birmingham’s answer to London’s ‘Brit School’.

He has recently released an EP of original songs titled No Going Back, highlighting his vocal style which ranges from the beautifully soulful falsetto of ‘Lessons To Be Learned’, to a no holds barred rock vocal on the title track. He loves performing live, and is a regular on the Birmingham music scene, having appeared at The O2 Institute, Sunflower Lounge, The Victoria, The Rainbow, The Flapper and the Actress & Bishop.

Sturman will be performing songs from his EP, together with new material that he is in the process of recording, including his first single ‘Give Me Time,’ due to be released later in the year.
