Aberdeen/Exeter three piece The Xcerts are excited to announce a UK headline tour this autumn, following their US tour with Brand New. The tour will call at Birmingham’s The Sunflower Lounge on Tues 4th November. From front man/guitarist Murray McLeod;

“We are really looking forward to the UK tour in November. It’s been a while since we’ve done a full UK headline tour and the fact we’ll have 3 albums worth of songs to pick from is really exciting. Our new record will be out by the time we hit the road so we’re looking forward to singing these songs with you all.”

The band will also finally be releasing their hugely anticipated third studio album There Is Only You on 3rd November through Raygun Music. The new album is the follow up to 2010’s much-acclaimed Scatterbrain, and was produced by both Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild) and long-term band friend Paul Steel.

The trio’s new single ‘Shaking in the Water’ has received heavy Radio 1 daytime love through Fearne Cotton and Alice Levine, and is due for release on 29th September.

Plus support from KAGOULE

Cai, Lucy and Lawrence are Kagoule, a three-piece group from Nottingham. It comes as a surprise that all three are only 18-years old, but age is just a number for this group, with their powerful ‘90s grunge sound echoing the style and maturity of an older and more developed group.

Kagoule’s mesmeric and visceral noise has seen them play Glastonbury Festival, get playlisted on BBC Radio 1, receive hype from the likes ofNME and the Guardian, as well as playing shows alongside Temples, Merchandise, Drenge, METZ and Iceage.

Newly signed to legendary Nottingham label Earache, theirs is the sound of complete confidence yet open-minded, youthful exuberance. Having achieved so much off their own back, Kagoule’s future looks set to soar, following their recently finished recording of their debut album, due for release in 2015.

Plus support from HYENA

Telford based Hyena, formerly known as Weatherbird, release their impressive debut single ‘Mental Home’ under their new guise this November. The single, issued by Red Venom was produced by Royal Blood producer Tom Dalgety who focused on the band’s Nirvana-esque surging dynamic and the singer’s hoarse power to mesmeric effect.

The band, who have recently toured with Aussie thrashpop group DZ Deathrays, have been compared to the likes of Darlia and Drenge and are sure to follow in their footsteps.

‘This year’s rock revival roars on – all snarling QOTSA’s style guitar riffs and pounding drums, ‘Mental Home’ is a blast of pissed off energy’ – NME
