NME, the brand that champions the very best in new music, today announces the launch of the Monster NME Radar Tour 2013, showcasing the most exciting new bands of 2013. The nationwide tour – sponsored by Monster Headphones – will call at Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds on Mon 25th November.

The annual tour, an extension of NME’s established Radar section, provides the opportunity for acts NME is tipping as the key artists of the future to seize the centre stage. The line-up for the Monster NME Radar Tour 2013 showcases music’s most exciting and hyped new bands. Whilst creating a dedicated platform for emerging artists, the tour also aims to aid music fans’ discovery of amazing new talent in the setting of an intimate venue.

Headlining the tour is New York punk band Cerebral Ballzy. With frontman Honor Titus one of the most exciting and unpredictable people in rock, and their live performances heralded by NME as ‘life-affirming and brutally energetic’, Cerebral Ballzy’s unique stage presence will make this year’s tour an unmissable experience.

As well as support from FAT WHITE FAMILY

We will also be welcoming South London six-piece, Fat White Family. Their sound mixes 60′s psychedlia, abject nihlism, northern english post punk, extreme left politics, country music and absurdist humour and they have been likened to the Butthole Surfers, the Fall, the Birthday Party and Charles Manson. The band recently won the Quietus/BBC 6 Cult Star of Tomorrow award, and since the release of their first single in February, have received a broad spectrum of media attention and radio play. Currently promoting their debut album, the sextet are also working on their 2nd LP.

To open the show we welcome Black Country five-piece Victor, fresh from supporting Deerhoof & playing as part of the Library of Birmingham’s opening events. Female-fronted post punk/noise rock of the highest order.

“Passionate vocals combine with a post-rock sound verging on grunge, subsequently creating a wall of noise that will make you deafer than your nan.” – Counteract Magazine

“Arguably Birmingham’s most intense and genuinely raw female-fronted act of recent times” – Artrocker
