2016 saw Glasgow-based duo Prides return with their latest single ‘Are You Ready’ – the debut cut to be revealed in the build up to the much-anticipated release of their second full length album – scheduled for release in summer 2017.

Another hugely accomplished release, ‘Are You Ready’ sees Prides continuing their natural move towards a well-rounded, guitar/drum led sound, complimented by elegant electronic touches. Prides sound like they’re having fun again, and like ‘Rome’ before it, the new single encompasses everything that people love about the band, adding a healthy dose of irresistible exuberance and enthusiasm.

Prides have consistently proved themselves to be band with big songs, and equally big crowds. 2 years ago the band played the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony to 7.5 million people on BBC1, shortly followed by an invite to support Blink-182 at Brixton Academy, and subsequently selling out two UK tours of their own. 2015 then saw Prides conquer the festival circuit – performing at Glastonbury, T in the Park, Latitude and Reading & Leeds Festivals, but this year, Prides are going back to their roots, falling back in love with the process of writing music, and sharing that with their fans.

Plus support from TWIN WILD

Twin Wild is a British four-piece alternative rock band formed in 2012. For their latest EP the band signed a record deal with Play It Again Sam (Mew, Ghostpoet, Agnes Obel) following their self-released track ‘Fears’, which garnered over half a million plays on Soundcloud and charted in Spotify’s Top 20 viral chart. Their style of music has been compared to the likes of Foals, The Neighbourhood, and Bastille. The band have been hailed by Edith Bowman as ‘the love child of Bastille and Biffy Clyro‘.

Their latest EP My Heart is a stomping, hell-raising inferno fuelled by wiry guitar licks jutting out at odd angles, bluesy hooks, snarl-infested verses, slick stadium-ready vocals, and a Foals-y penchant for the unexpected. This is a mammoth offering from Twin Wild, who prove themselves as ready-to-go beasts with their sights trained on the top of the dogpile. Frontman Richard Hutchison says of the song: “My Heart is a reflection on the sacrifices involved in achieving your ambitions, but equally the rush that comes with it. It’s definitely the song that resonates most with us as a band.”
