Birmingham singer-songwriter and beatboxer, Ed Geater has announced details of a new EP release and its accompanying live launch.

Unseen (released October 14th via Music Mandi) is the follow-up EP to his last extended player, Barriers, which featured the drum and bass infused ‘Don’t Think’.

Ed, who is massively influenced by minimalist and ambient electronic artists such as Bonobo and Four Tet has developed a truly unique sound over the last couple of years, and will be looking to continue his mission of taking Birmingham by storm following the success of his Barriers EP.

Not only is Ed one of the city’s finest songwriting talents – he’s also a pretty mean beatboxer too. His forthcoming single, ‘Symmetry’ showcases this perfectly with a blend of intricate guitar work floating amongst Ed’s dulcet tones and beatboxed backing; it’s a real toe-tapper. Keep an eye out for the ‘Symmetry’ single and video, both of which are set to drop in September.

His last EP launch at the Sunflower Lounge was packed out – so we’d advise picking up your tickets as soon as possible.

Plus support from ALEX RAINSFORD

At 22 years of age, Worcester born Alex Rainsford is wasting no time in carving his path though the industry. The music? Think the melodies of George Ezra meet the power of Catfish & the Bottlemen.

Alex’s sound bridges a gap between delicate & destructive, taking you on a journey as the songs move from section to section. This effect is only exaggerated when the songs are placed into their natural environment of a stage, where they breathe & grow into something else altogether. This formula has been refined & reimagined for his newest release, Lighter Mind, which sets the bar high for what’s to follow.

As well as playing tour support for acts such as Hudson Taylor, Dry The River and Brother & Bones; the past 2 years have seen Alex share stages with the likes of Bastille, Gabrielle Aplin & Willy Mason at festivals & venues all over Europe.

There’s still some distance to travel but the road Alex is walking is paved with good vibes, great people & great songs.
