Plus support from BABYPINK

Hailing from the dizzying heights of Droitwich Spa in the leafy heart of the West Midlands, Babypink (formerly known as Sugar) call the same town their home as forerunners of the recent B-Town movement, Peace. Emotive, engaging and completely considered, these are four under twenty year olds producing music not only belying their years but the parameters of the current Birmingham scene.

Babypink draw from influences from grunge to britpop; driving drum beats underpin a sleazy bassline and pedal-enhanced guitars which at times even venture into psychedelia. Intricate and intriguing, the vocal of enigmatic frontman Andrew Brooks binds the building blocks and indeed the band together as live, the performance is even more impressive.

With a striking musical repertoire documenting their explosive three month progression, Babypink have already shared a stage with Superfood, Wolf Alice and Jaws.

The Grafham Water Sailing Club were born in February 2012. Hailing from the Midlands and drawing both inspirations from Silver Apples to Ricardo Villalobos and comparisons in the dark depths of Joy Division, The Horrors, The Velvet Underground and O Children, this experimental quartet are about to peak in what is a fantastic time for Midlands music with Peace, Swim Deep and Jaws flying the second city flag.

‘Ankara’ is three and a half minutes of squalling psychotronics etched in the finest traditions of a late 80’s New Zealand noise scene, all distressed in all manner of shade-adorned, shadow-playing feedback riffage that hints ever so slightly to a storm lashed Chameleons in an austere post punk wasteland.
