ROOM 94+ YOUNG BRAVES
North London pop-rockers Room 94 have built up a loyal following over the last couple of years through shows with Union J, Lawson and Twenty Twenty. Their debut album No Strings Attached reached the Top 30 in March 2014 – a mightily impressive feat for a then unsigned band.
Less than a year later, they’re back with a second self-titled album. What follows is even more impressive, with anthemic, hook-heavy rock that recalls the band’s love of You Me At Six, The Offspring and Bring Me The Horizon.
Having headlined venues like London Koko and nicking plenty of headliners’ fans while playing arenas, Room 94 wanted to ensure all the feelings on album two were entirely their own. Named after the rehearsal room at their school in St Albans, Room 94 had a simple choice when it came to naming the album. After toying with ‘Black And White’ and ‘Strings Attached’, making it self-titled was obvious. It’s a bold and adventurous album, while remaining gloriously catchy. There’s room enough for everyone.
