NEW FACES BIRMINGHAMFT. SEAFRET, FLYTE, DAN OWEN & JACK WATTS
Communion, the hugely respected independent promoter and label, is taking its ‘New Faces’ on the road once again, in what is now the fourth instalment of the biannual tour. Continuing in the previous vein of encouraging the uprise of promising new talent, this year’s line-up consists of some of the most exciting new acts coming out of Britain right now.
The label team up with Birmingham Promoters for the Birmingham date on Sat 21st November at The Rainbow. The tour, which takes its name from the influential New Faces compilation album, features some on the UK’s most hotly tipped artists.
Topping the bill this year are the hugely exciting Yorkshire-born duo Seafret. Making huge waves with their continuously brilliant output over the past year or so, starting with their debut single ‘Give Me Something’ which topped The Hype Machine charts in the summer of 2014. The pair will be bringing a full live band to the table, a rare occurrence since their inception a little over a year ago – and this is a performance which is not to be missed.

Next up is a band who are without a doubt flying the flag for British indie-pop, London based quartet Flyte, who are sure to stun crowds up and down the country with their anthemic brand of guitar-led pop.

The final two acts on this edition’s bill are equally as exciting. Shrewsbury born singer-songwriter Dan Owen has been quietly plying his trade over the last twelve months or so, and is now set to take his wonderfully powerful vocals and unique blend of blues-infused acoustic sounds to a much wider audience.

Last but not least, we have Brighton’s very own Jack Watts – with a voice so fragile and beautiful, and instrumentally one of the most impressive and imaginative we’ve heard all year, his live show is one that is something totally and completely unforgettable.
