KITE BASE+ HOOPLA BLUE + THE GOOD WATER

Kite Base, a two-piece band consisting of bass guitarists Ayse Hassan (Savages) and Kendra Frost, have announced details of a headline U.K. tour in June. The band previously announced a run of shows supporting Thor & Friends (Thor Harris of Swans / Shearwater) and an appearance at this year’s Field Day Festival.

The band also recently played a sold-out show at London’s Kamio, bagged a double-page spread in Loud & Quiet and picked their top-5 albums for London in Stereo.

They recently released ‘Transition’, which was accompanied by a visually stunning video based around live footage taken from the band’s sold-out show at London’s Electrowerkz at the end of last year and directed by Simone Pellegrini & Giorgio Testi. The track is a taster from their forthcoming debut album, Latent Whispers, which is released on Friday May 26th 2017.

“There are traces of everything from Stereolab’s urban sophistication to PJ Harvey’s ferocity to Radiohead’s artful darkness to Sufjan Stevens’ childlike singsong in this music” – Stereogum

Plus support from HOOPLA BLUE

Hoopla Blue’s latest EP Itch Be Still was released late last year receiving support across the likes of Q, DIY, BBC 6 Music and Radio X. Where their debut EP Mother found the group take aim at their world-weary frustrations, Itch Be Still saw them explore this burden through a personal lens, battling with themes of yearning, identity and assimilation. They will be following this up with a new AA single this spring.

Upcoming shows include a support slot with The Flaming Lips this summer – undoubtedly their biggest show to date! They’ve also recently shared the stage with Let’s Eat Grandma, Happyness, Money, Amber Arcades and Blaenavon to highlight a few.

“Ridiculously gifted” – Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music
“I’m smitten” – John Kennedy, Radio X

Plus support from THE GOOD WATER

Birmingham-based garage-psych-rockers The Good Water recently released their latest ‘Mansaid’. The fuzzed-up slice of blistering garage rock showcases psych-pop harmonies alongside frantic riffs and comes hot on the heels of their previous single ‘See Your Light’, which received airplay with Steve Lamacq, Mary-Anne Hobbes and Shaun Keaveny at BBC 6Music.

Since forming in early 2015, The Good Water have been busy. The boys quickly picked up loyal support from Brum Radio with their drone-rock debut single ‘Everything Is’, gained new fans at raucous shows around the Midlands and blew away audiences supporting Mercury Rev, Super Furry Animals and Bill Ryder-Jones at Lunar Festival. The duo’s brand of psychedelic rock grooves, obscure lyrics and nimble riffs is streamlined into tight garage-pop frameworks and press has been quick to spot their talents, with rave reviews from Soundsphere Magazine, Ear To The Ground Music, Slap Magazine, Diamond Deposits, Born Music Online and Mytacism Music amongst many others.
