For Honeyblood frontwoman Stina Tweeddale, the title of her band’s second album came from somewhere close to her heart. Babes Never Die is not a shy motto, and one that’s triumphant sentiment rings throughout Honeyblood’s exceptional sophomore record.

Recorded during several candle-burning stints at London’s Fish Factory studio in the winter of 2016, Stina and Cat were joined by acclaimed producer James Dring, whose work with the likes of Jamie T and Gorillaz made him an intriguing choice for the Scottish duo.

Together they’ve managed to brilliantly capture then subtly refine and embellish the duo’s notorious live energy that over the past two years shared stages all round the globe with everyone from Belle And Sebastian and Foo Fighters to close comrades like Courtney Barnett and Wolf Alice, a regime that’s bound to leave an impression.

Plus support from PINS

PINS are Faith, Anna, Lois, Sophie and Kyoko. They started playing together in early 2011 and self-released their first songs through their own label Haus of PINS in May 2012 along with a debut video for ‘Eleventh Hour’ directed by Sing. J. Lee. The tape sold out within a few hours and the video received a great deal of attention for the band. Later that year PINS worked with Bella Union to release their Luvu4lyf EP on 10” glitter vinyl. The EP was followed by their first UK tour, and the band later signed with Bella Union, going on to release their first Album Girls Like Us.

PINS have toured extensively through the UK and Europe supporting Sleater Kinney, Best Coast, Drenge, Wire, Warpaint, Crocodiles, Sleigh Bells and The Growlers.

PINS released their sophomore album Wild Nights worldwide in June 2015. Produced by Dave Catching at Rancho de La Luna the first single ‘Too Little Too Late’ was premiered by Dazed Digital and received notable national radio airplay on BBC 6 Music with the album also making Album of The Week. Bella Union released a 3 track limited-edition red 10” vinyl titled Trouble on Record Store Day this year.
