ED GEATER+ BEAR + HANNAH BROWN
For Birmingham born singer-songwriter and beatboxer Ed Geater, rhythmical strength is complemented by lyrical prowess.
Influenced by his obsession with ambient electronic artists such as Bonobo, Boards of Canada and Four Tet, Ed set out to create the same vivid and textural musical landscapes, but all acoustically, without any live sampling.
Now under management, Ed quickly signed his first record deal in 2015 with independent London label, Music Mandi. After putting pen to paper, Ed immediately hit the studio. The results being eight fresh tracks recorded in one four day session, which will be released as a series of two EPs in 2016.
The first offering is Barriers EP, released on Monday 22nd February, spearheaded by lead single and debut music video ‘Don’t Think’.
Celebrating the release, Ed will be playing an exclusive launch show at The Sunflower Lounge on Sunday 6th March, with support from brilliant acts in the Birmingham scene; Bear and Hannah Brown.

Plus support from BEAR
Bear are Wolverhampton vocalist Faye Smith, accompanied by French multi-instrumentalist Gordon Begard. Together they create a sound that is soulful, powerful and wise.
An exciting blend of acoustic, hip hop, and soul, Bear combine fresh original compositions with surprising takes on some their most cherished influences, making these songs undeniably their own. Begard provides a perfectly gaged backdrop of guitar and beats for Smith’s unique voice, which belongs amongst the likes of Selah Sue, Adele, Janis Joplin, Florence Welch, and at times Lauren Hill.
For Bear, music is about connecting with people, and their live performances are all about sharing the passion for what they do with songs driving home the message of inspiration, empowerment, and self-determination; letting go. Meeting in Toulouse, France, Bear have travelled and played together for little over a year, they now call Birmingham their home and seek to see how the city and beyond, through the people they meet, can influence their sound.

Plus support from HANNAH BROWN
After the successful release of her acoustic mini album, The Highbury Sessions, singer songwriter Hannah Brown returns with her fully produced and self-penned single ‘I Don’t Want to be You’.
She has had a passion for music from a very early age, initially playing drums but later picking up and strumming her mother’s guitar. She has since developed into a fine guitarist with an intuitive sense of harmony which delicately and with imagination complements her songwriting.
