BOXED IN+ ZOLA BLOOD + MIDNIGHT BONFIRES
Boxed In is songwriter and producer Oli Bayston. Having played in indie band Keith, written for The 2 Bears, sung for George FitzGerald and been a producer for the likes of Charlie Boyer and the Voyeurs, Rosie Lowe and The Bohicas, Oli is now bringing his wide array of talents to bear on his own solo project.
Boxed In brings together Oli’s two greatest musical loves: Krautrock and house music. Inspired by the motorik rhythms of Can, Cluster and Neu! as well as house producers, like Pépé Bradock and Theo Parrish, Oli nevertheless emphasises that the art of pop song writing is right at the heart of Boxed In.
His experiences of playing live with Keith mean he’s dedicated to recording and playing his music live, with no samplers or backing tracks. His intention with Boxed In live is to emulate the propulsion of a fully electronic set up using acoustic instruments and the flexibility of human touch.
“A textural pick ’n’ mix of Technicolor piano powered by an ear for quirky pop and sticky sweet earworms” - 8/10, The Line of Best Fit

Plus support from ZOLA BLOOD
Zola Blood announced their arrival in July with the release of ‘Grace’, which quickly got the attention of the blogosphere. The follow-up ‘Meridian’ premiered on The Fader and positioned them as The Hype Machine’s # 1 blogged about artist in late August.
Born out of a windowless studio deep in East London and signed to Pond Life Songs (the label synonymous with Talk Talk), Zola Blood draw influence from electronic music, while retaining a loyal bond to melody and songwriting. The Meridian EP fuses brooding electronica, textured guitars and a hanging, haunting vocal to create a sound that is equally minimal and expansive.
The band has been backed by the likes of NME, DIY Magazine, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, XFM, Lauren Laverne, Jo Whiley and many more. Following sell-out shows at London’s Shacklewell Arms and The Lexington, the four piece are now in the studio with Oli Bayston (Boxed In) working on material for 2015.

Plus opening support from MIDNIGHT BONFIRES
Conceived in Birmingham, Midnight Bonfires are a band fusing folk sensitivity with rock and roll energy. With influences ranging from the contemporary folk artists of the 1960s to current indie hit makers, the five lads quickly became one of the Midlands’ go to bands.
Having toured the UK and supported household names including Johnny Marr, Jamie Cullum, Ezra Furman and The Twang, Midnight Bonfires came into 2015 with a bigger and bolder sound, and released the ‘Oxygen’ EP which entertains ideas of lust, love, control, irony and loss.
“Somewhere between The Shins and Bon Iver. Great vocal harmonies…it’s tough, not wishy-washy” – Jamie Cullum, BBC Radio 2
