3 DAFT MONKEYS+ JOHNNY KOWALSKI AND THE SEXY WEIRDOS
After some time off at the end of last year, Cornish indie-folk band 3 Daft Monkeys are back and have announced they will be releasing a much-anticipated new studio album entitled Of Stones & Bones.
This will be accompanied by a UK tour in October & November, which stops at Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds on 28th November, on which the band will be playing tracks from the new album and other live favourites.
The band, who weave world music influences around classic folk melodies, have a new 4-piece line-up featuring Athene on fiddle, Tim on 12-string guitar & vocals, Lukas on bass guitar and Richie Mulryne percussion, adding a fuller and richer sound.
3 Daft Monkeys’ passion, intensity and sheer joy of life mixed with their infectious dancing rhythms will leave you enthralled. The desire to dance at one of their live shows is irresistible!

After a couple of years feeling out their sound across the UK live circuit, Johnny Kowalski and the Sexy Weirdos took on the task of recording their brass, strings, electric guitar and drums based “carnival punk” sound.
They released the independently recorded ‘Victory for the Monsters’ in October 2012, gaining BBC6 Music radio airplay and capturing their notorious live energy on a record that they followed up with a tour that took in France, Belgium, Germany and the Czech Republic.
With summer festival performances that included Boomtown, Y Not, Tramlines, Nozstock, Wychwood and Swingamajig and a third European tour under their belts, work is now underway on the follow up to Victory for the Monsters which is due to be produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, The Destroyers, Robert Plant).
Johnny Kowalski and the Sexy Weirdos will be playing in Sheffield, Manchester, London, and Birmingham in November and December 2013 and are currently booking dates for tour in Spring 2014 to promote the new album.
