LISTEN: Nick Mulvey – ‘Mountain To Move’

Nick Mulvey is pleased to announce details of a new single. ‘Mountain To Move’ is lifted from Nick’s second album, Wake Up Now. The album is released on the 8th September 2017 through Fiction Records.

The track was produced by Rodaidh McDonald (The XX, Sampha), and received its first play as the Hottest Record In The World via Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show.

‘Mountain To Move’ is arguably Nick Mulvey’s most accomplished song to date, and sits at the very heart of this extremely accomplished new record. The album’s title is repeated mantra like by Nick, as the song swells with a melody and a formidable groove. It acts as a call to arms, not only to the precociousness of this exquisite British artist’s songwriting, but to a public completely at odds with the world around them. It’s certainly timely too, in both the UK and America’s current political climate, but the song’s key messages translate universally to eras of the past and undoubtedly eras of the future.

Ultimately though, when you’ve part-analysed the lyrical content and gone headfirst with Nick on this kaleidoscopic journey of his, it’s one hell of a tune at its core.

Nick follows his standout performance on the Glastonbury Park Stage, with further festival performances at Womad and Bestival ahead of a full UK tour in September and October.
